Ingredients
|
225 g Self
Raising Flour
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sodium bicarbonate
115 g butter
115 g muscovado sugar
3 eggs (beaten)
225 g treacle

|
Instructions
Melt together butter,
sugar, treacle - allow to cool and stir in the beaten eggs.
Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
Pour mixture into greased and lined 8 inch square cake tin and
bake in oven 170 C for 50-60 minutes.
