Soup |

| Ingredients- |
|

1 medium onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/4 cup (60 ml) butter
3 tbsp (45 ml) flour
1X28 oz (796 ml) tomato pureé
3 cups (750 ml) chicken stock
2 tbsp (30 ml) Golden Syrup
1/2 tsp (2 ml) cumin pwd
1/2 tsp (2 ml) fresh coriander
1/2 tsp (2 ml) turmeric
1/2 tsp (2 ml) red chili pwd

In large saucepan over low heat, sauté onion and celery in butter, until tender. Stir in flour. Add tomatoes and chicken stock, Golden Syrup and spices. Simmer gently for 20 minutes. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with soup sticks.
